I was roaming ...

... around salon a few times. Pretty good selection of bikes and cars. Staff was nice helping with suggestions and allowing to seat motorcycles. At some point of time, I have decided to schedule a test ride. Selection of bikes is very limited (about 3 bikes). Person on the phone call was also very nice. We got thought details that I need to bring international driving license (because I’m a foreigner) and ID. No additional documents, insurance or else. When I arrived at specified time to the dealer building was pretty empty. Only one guy was sitting on the reception desk talking on the phone and simultaneously eating his meal. I don’t mind that people need some time to rest and eat, so I roamed for a few minutes and then got to the desk. He asked for driving license and ID. Then he asked for Poland driving license. I don’t have one, but I have international driving license in a form of a paper booklet written in multiple languages. Still not enough and he asks for residence permit (karta pobutu). On the phone I said that I’m a foreigner, but no one told me that I need to be a resident just to test drive a motorcycle. I still have a PESEL number with address and such. Still not enough. After a call to the supervisor, he tells me that they can’t allow me to test drive because I can steal a bike and they will have no idea where to find me. For real? This is how dealership talks to the potential customers? How this even works? For sure, I wouldn’t be able to get out of EU with criminal record of a vehicle theft. At the end I left the facility very disappointed. I spend a lot of time talking though details on the phone and drive through traffic jams (test drive available Monday-Friday 10-16 only). Communication about test drive requirements should be improved. As well as attitude of this worker: this is just unacceptable to talk like this.
